Do you love football? Have you always wanted to play but never got the chance? Your chance is coming as the we will soon be holding tryouts for the 2008 season. We are looking for athletic women who love football and have the desire to help the team get the championship. No previous football experience is necessary.

About Tryouts:

Athletes will begin tryouts with a group stretch and warm-up. You can expect to run, practice offense & defense, perform agility drills, practice form and technique including passing, catching, and tackling.

TEAM INFORMATION:
Game Rules: Full-contact American tackle football by IWFL rules. Practices are held on Saturdays at the same time as tryouts.

GAMES:
Games will be scheduled on Saturday nights beginning in April 2008.

TRAVEL GAMES:
Travel will be by team bus. The Fuel will provide players  transportation and lodging.  Funding for transportation and lodging is raised by team fundraisers.

EQUIPMENT:
Players are responsible for obtaining all their own fitted personal equipment which includes adult sized NFL-style shoulder pads,  helmet, six pocket football girdle, chin strap, shoulder pads, under armor shirt, orange football belt, orange football socks, as well as mouthpieces and black cleated shoes (grass & turf).   For practice, players are responsible for obtaining practice football pants, mesh practice jerseys.  Players are responsible for their own ankle/knee braces if necessary.  Equipment costs may be funded by fundraisers. (See sponsor packets).

INSURANCE:
Each player is required to have their own health insurance coverage and will not be allowed to participate in team activities until a copy of the insurance card is on file with the team.

Other required activities: Players are required to participate in all advance ticket sales activities and some fundraising events.
